Things to See and Do
Polis Chrysochous
Only a short drive from Goudi is Polis Chrysochous, a small town where once an ancient city kingdom stood. Now an attractive, popular resort, Polis has kept its original character and the local tavernas in the pedestrian zone offer a large variety of food.

Agrotourism in Akamas Laona Region
Akamas Region hosts many traditional small villages on the hills of Laona like Ineia, Drousia and Kathikas, with panoramic seaviews.

Bath of Aphrodite
According to legend, the goddess of Aphrodite used to take her beauty baths in a pool of natural grotto which can still be visited. Nature trails set off from there to lead nature lovers to incomparable views of unspoilt land.

Monastery of Chryssorogiatissa
Set in beautiful surroundings and founded in the 12th century AD this monastery is dedicated to "Our Lady of the Golden Pomegranate". The old winery there produces some of the best vintage wine of Cyprus.

Akamas Agrotourism, Cyprus Pafos Town
The whole town of Pafos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world heritage. Wheter you visit the museums, the old harbour or the many archeological sites, you come across the glorious history which dates back thousands of years.

Walking/Jogging/Biking
The Akamas National Park is the ideal base for nature lovers to explore its fantastic landscape and to discover the endless variety of flowers and birds. You can either set off on your own and find your way along the beaches and hills or you can use a map (available on request) with different nature trails, ideal for walking/jogging and biking.

Beaches
Polis - The sea near Polis Chryssochous offers a variety of beaches. Dark sand, rocks and pebbles stretch endlessly eastwards towards Pomos and westwards towards Latsi. -Latsi: The beaches of Latsi are ideal for families with children. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas and in Latsi itself is a nice playground directly at the beach.

Lara Beach - This is not an ordinary beach as sunbeds and umbrellas are not allowed there. The reason for this is a very important project for the protection of the seaturtle caretta-caretta, which in August lays its eggs in the hot sand. Special wardens cover the eggs which are hidden deep in the sand with a special net in order to protect them from enemies such as foxes and birds. Every nest is registered and when the turtle babies hatch, they are counted and watched as they emerge in to the endless sea.
