Introduction
Several villages in this centrally located area close to the sea are ideal for those who are planning a holiday that combines relaxation on the beach with day tours to explore the whole island, Tochni guests also have the benefit of our various activity programmes. You will be very well looked after by our CYPRUS VILLAGES Team and our cook of the Tochni Taverna.
Each of these villages has its own attractions and specific idyllic atmosphere. The traditional lodgings are dispersed all around the villages. All of them have their own individual veranda, patio or garden. Thick walls, small windows and stone or wooden staircases are characteristic of these apartments. The kitchenettes are equipped with all of the self-catering facilities you need, living rooms are mainly open planned. Central heating and aircondition are installed and available on request. There is the choice of studios, 1 bedroom-apartments and 2 bedroom-apartments. There are swimming-pools in all of the villages with sunbeds for our guests.

Description of the villas with pool
Strikingly attractive complexes of four to five carefully restored traditional houses. Each apartment is comfortably furnished and contains some Cypriot antiques. Most have four-poster beds. The houses are well equipped with air condition and central heating (included in the price) and modern kitchen facilities, TV and hairdryer in the apartment. All have either balcony or patio. Some of the villa apartments are also suitable for the disabled.
Sun beds are set around an exclusively shared swimming pool situated next to the apartments.
Description of the village apartments
Traditional village apartments comfortably furnished with some Cypriot antiques. The apartments are equipped with air condition (locally paid) and central heating and have modern kitchen facilities. All have either balcony or patio. Guests of our village apartments have access to a shared swimming pool in the village within walking distance.
Things to See and Do
Kalavasos Tenta
Without doubt, Tenta is one of the most important Neolithic settlements in Cyprus. The large Bronze Age town Agios Dimitrios can also be visisted there.
Chirokitia
Excavations have brought to light one of the most rewarding Neolithic cultures in the world. The settlement, 7000 BC, consists of a defence wall, circular houses, tombs and many stone utensils.
Lefkara lace village
This picturesque village is famous for its local lace called "Lefkaritika" and its silver ware. According to tradition, Leonardo Da Vinci bought an altar cloth from there and donated it to the Milan Cathedral.
Stavrovouni Monastery
Perched on a rocky peak, Stavrovouni means "Mountain of the Cross" and was founded in 4th century A.D. Tradition says that Saint Eleni, mother of Konstantinos the Great, left a fragment of the Holy Cross to the monastery. This brotherhood is extremely devout and women are not allowed in the monastery.
Agios Minas Convent
This 15th century monastery near Lefkara village is famous for its icon-painting.
